The world’s fastest and most accurate counting system based on X-ray technology. Due to its completely contactless operating principle, components in ESD foil can also be counted without opening. Manufacturing processes today are for the most part completely automated. The rule here is: time is money! Maximum quantities as well as short cycle and changeover times play an important role. One of the last non-automated steps is counting the parts. Many manufacturers still work with the slow and labor-intensive manual approach. This process can be greatly accelerated through the use of X-ray technology and state-of-the-art image processing.
The counting results are fed directly into the company’s own merchandise management system (ERP/MES). Industry solutions such as FUJI Trax, Nexim, Cogiscan, BaaN, SAP and many more are already pre-integrated. An open database interface is available for all other systems. Direct transmission of the data saves even more time and increases process reliability. Furthermore, the XRHCount can be conveniently integrated into traceability solutions and industry 4.0 systems. This allows critical key figures to be monitored and used for quality management.
The XRHCount can count component rolls up to a diameter of 400mm and a height of 100mm. All typical component types from 01005 to large connectors can be counted with an accuracy of over 99.9%. Due to the contactless counting method, even welded-in rollers can be counted. The system itself takes up very little space and enables ergonomic working in accordance with current work safety regulations. Furthermore the system is tested by the German TÜV and CE certified. A variety of barcode scanners and label printers can be connected directly.

A great strength of the system lies in its simple operation. The user only has to place the carrier roll in the drawer and press a button. VisiConsult has developed an innovative artificial intelligence (AI) for this purpose, which estimates the type. This means that there is no need to maintain an internal component database or scan an ID. The result is displayed on the screen after a short time. A sophisticated procedure checks the results internally for plausibility. In the unlikely event of an uncountable component type, a warning is issued. In this case, the role must be counted manually or can be transmitted directly to the counting cloud.
With a cycle time of less than 10 seconds, including handling, the main purpose of the XRHCount is to accelerate the counting process. Compared to several minutes of mechanical counting, the personnel effort is reduced by more than 95%. Due to its long-life components, the system is designed for 24/7 continuous operation and is already in use in numerous production plants worldwide.
An absolute innovation is the new Counting Cloud. New components no longer have to be trained by the user, but can be sent directly to the VisiConsult development team with a single click. All systems regularly receive an automatic update. The already very extensive database is continuously fed by a multitude of systems worldwide. A comprehensive spectrum is already covered by major customers with a reel volume of several thousand reels per day. The link with the Counting Cloud means that the Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the system becomes more and more precise and extensive.
