The MDS system was developed for the task of detecting hidden persons on vehicles and in their cargo. The control is done by special sensors, which are placed on the vehicle and transmit measurement data to a computer with MDS software. The acquisition and evaluation of the measurement data takes about 30 seconds. Including the laying down and removal of the sensors, the total inspection time is usually less than 2 minutes.
Only the MDS person detector offers another special feature: The system compensates for disturbances caused by ground vibrations, air vibrations, rain and wind to a relatively high degree. It is the only system that does not require ideal environmental conditions to carry out vehicle inspections and thus enables a much better control density. False alarms are reduced and reliability is considerably increased.
