UV LED technology at the highest level

MR® UV luminaires are based on the long-lasting and energy-efficient LED technology and were developed especially for industrial use. Most of the UV lamps offered are classified in the IP64 enclosure and are therefore dust-proof and splash-proof.

MR® UV lamps are primarily used in non-destructive crack detection (ZfP). Here especially in the penetration test and magnetic particle inspection. In practice, this is also referred to as UV test lamps.

DIN EN ISO 3059 – Non-destructive testing – Penetration testing and magnetic particle testing – Viewing conditions

UV lamps for fluorescent crack testing must meet certain criteria. These are defined in the standard DIN EN ISO 3059.

The wavelength must be 365 ± 5 nm, and the full width at half maximum (FWHM) should be 30 nm. In addition, the illumination should be homogenous.
