Scanmax 25

The SCANMAX 25 is the preferred choice for experts requiring fast, professional mail screening for items up to small parcel size, as well as security screening for visitor hand luggage. Its resolution and detail accuracy (wire detection) even exceed EU aviation security requirements. With the optional trolley, the SCANMAX can also be used for mobile cell inspections in correctional facilities. The SCANMAX 25 meets professional requirements with extremely simple operation, a small footprint, and very favorable acquisition costs.

Scanmax 25 Classic is our most well-known cabinet X-ray unit for general mail and parcel security X-ray inspection.

The Scanmax 25 features a large-capacity X-ray inspection chamber measuring 56 x 42 cm, making it the perfect X-ray scanner for checking letter sheets, courier shipments, York trays, parcels, and handbags.

The Scanmax 25 produces an extremely detailed X-ray image of an item’s contents, which is displayed on the screen for quick and easy viewing. The Scanmax 25 software offers a range of color-density-based contrasts, allowing operators to quickly and accurately distinguish between legitimate, harmless items and malicious mail, confirming the safety of a package instantly.

The Scanmax 25 mailroom X-ray unit is capable of detecting all elements of the CPNI Discrete Threat List published in PAS 97: 2015.

Compact and easy to use

The Scanmax 25 is a free-standing mail security X-ray screening cabinet that combines a large screening chamber with a compact physical size. It is designed to be easy to operate even for non-technical personnel. Due to its front-loading door and small footprint, it can be placed virtually anywhere in the workplace.

Image enhancements

Images are automatically enhanced for optimal clarity, with a negative display option. There are also various image enhancement options to highlight low, medium, and high-density materials, as well as to define powders, syringes, and circuits.

Image enhancements are made using a simple hand mouse. All images are stored on the screen until the next X-ray is taken.

Both Scanna and customer tests have shown that Scanmax Colorscan X-ray scanners are capable of clearly seeing powders in envelopes, provided the envelopes are scanned flat in small quantities (up to 40 envelopes on top of the envelope containing powder).

Versatile monitor

The 17-inch flat-screen monitor can be placed on top of the unit, on top of a desk, or connected remotely to a security control room.

This is an advantage over mail-box X-ray units with built-in monitors (remote viewing is possible, and there is no need to shut down the unit or pay for expensive maintenance due to monitor failures – simply change the monitor!)

Advanced options

With the optional Scanprint function, you can print, email, and archive X-ray images, while the network model allows you to link your X-ray device to a PC on your network for remote storage and saving of images.

Safe and secure

Scanmax 25 cabinet X-ray units produce only very low X-ray emissions and comply with all published international standards for electrical safety and radiation. Every X-ray cabinet is provided with a radiation protection and test certificate. It is completely safe for everyone, including pregnant women.

User training

A range of operator training programs and X-ray image recognition charts is available.

We also sell a compact tabletop cabinet X-ray unit for letters and small A4 parcels – Scanmax 15 and an expanded mail and parcel cabinet X-ray scanner – Scanmax 225.

The Scanmax 25 has been designed and tested to meet the requirements of British Security Industry Standard: PAS 97: 2015 Specification for Mail Screening, as well as US FDA standards for cabinet X-ray systems CFR 1020.40.
