Scanmax 225

The Scanmax 225 is a premium, large-capacity color mail and parcel X-ray scanner, combining advanced image analysis features and networking capabilities in a sleek, affordable package.

The Scanmax 225 features the latest high-resolution camera technology, allowing for quick creation of high-definition images of an item’s contents on screen. Images can be magnified to improve the detection of small components and powdered substances.

Users can annotate, print, and save their X-ray images in a database for training, or export them to a USB stick or a shared network folder for remote analysis.

Electronic components and circuits are more clearly defined than ever, enabling operators to easily distinguish between harmless objects and malicious mail, and to instantly confirm the safety of a parcel.

The Scanmax 225 mailroom X-ray cabinet is capable of meeting all points on the CPNI discrete list of threats published in PAS97: 2015.

Compact and easy to use

The Scanmax 225 is a freestanding mailroom security X-ray machine that combines a large screening chamber with a compact physical size. It is designed to be easy to operate even for non-technical personnel. Its front-loading door and small footprint mean it can be placed virtually anywhere in the workplace.

Image enhancements

The image is automatically enhanced for optimal clarity, with the option to display it in negative. There are also various image enhancement options to highlight low, medium, and high-density materials, as well as powders, syringes, and circuits.

Image enhancements are made using simple icons in the ScanView Imaging Software. All images are stored on screen until the user wishes to save or close them.

Scanmax 225 offers advanced image analysis tools that provide greater contrast for low-density materials such as powders and fine wires, helping experienced operators make safer decisions about mail security.

Versatile monitor

The 17-inch flat-screen monitor can be placed on top of the unit, on top of a desk, or connected remotely to a security control room.

This is an advantage over mail X-ray devices with built-in monitors (remote viewing possible and no shutdown of the device or expensive maintenance due to monitor failures—simply replace the monitor!).

Save and Print Images

The Scanmax 225 runs on a Windows framework, allowing you to print, email, and save X-ray images for training, archiving, or inter-departmental image review.

Network Capable

Scanmax 225 also features an Ethernet output, allowing you to connect your X-ray computer to your corporate network for central and remote storage and viewing of images. Images can also be downloaded to a USB stick.

System Protection and Reset

Should your building experience a temporary power outage, your X-ray system is protected by a built-in UPS and can be returned to operational mode with a simple reset.

Safe and secure

The Scanmax 225 uses very low X-ray levels and complies with all published international standards for electrical safety and radiation, and comes with a radiation protection and test certificate. It is completely safe for any person, including pregnant women.

User training

A range of operator training programs and X-ray image recognition diagrams is available.
