XRS-4
The world's most widely used X-ray generator for police and military applications.
The XRS4 is a battery-powered pulsed 370 kV X-ray generator used in security and industrial applications. Golden Engineering introduced the XRS4 in 2010 to significantly improve penetration capability compared to earlier models.
The XRS-4 X-ray generator is among the world's most widely used tubes for law enforcement and military applications. All X-ray tubes operate independently of mains power. The X-ray tubes are characterized by a long service life and are easy to operate.

The XRS-4 has the same concept as other models with a single housing containing a DeWalt battery, a high-voltage head, a robust glass tube, and electronic controls. Two unique features of the XRS-4 are a robust aluminum housing and a bellows in the handle. Both features improve the durability and longevity of the generator.
The electronic control module was updated in 2015 to integrate a menu-based design that significantly enhances the operator interface capabilities. The menu allows the operator to change the machine’s pulse frequency, set multiple pulse sequences with appropriate pauses in between, and track the machine’s service life.
Weighing 20 pounds, the XRS-4 is considerably larger and heavier than other Golden Engineering generators. A 370 kV generator that penetrates more than 1.5 inches of steel and weighs less than 25 pounds is still considered extremely portable by industry standards.
