MR® 400

Wetting agent

  • MR® 400 wetting agent is used to reduce the surface tension of aqueous magnetic particle testing agents and leads to better wetting of the surface by the testing agent.
  • MR® 400 wetting agent is a clear liquid and miscible with water in any ratio.
  • Depending on the formulation and requirements, approx. 0.1-1.0% is used in the application concentration.

Further information

The product MR® 400 can be added to the application medium, particularly the magnetic particle suspension, to improve performance in specific applications. It is important to thoroughly stir the product MR® 400 into the application medium before using it with dry powder, and only then add the magnetic powder. When using suspensions, the order is not critical. Ensure that the product MR® 400 is evenly distributed within the magnetic particle suspension. Although its primary application area is in magnetic particle inspection, it can also be used in other fields of application.
