X-555 Analyzer
The world's most powerful handheld XRF
The world’s most powerful handheld XRF.
Key Features & Benefits
- 2x better Cadmium LODs than any other handheld XRF
- Superior LODs on Ag, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ba
- Ideal for other environmentally critical metals: As, Cr, Co, Cu, Pb, Hg, Ni, Se, Ti and more
- Excellent heat dissipation
Fast, precise testing
The 55 kV X-ray tube offers particularly low detection limits for key elements such as Ag,
Cd, Sn, Sb and Ba, making it particularly well suited for RCRA applications and the
EPA Method 6200.
Up to three automated beam settings enable optimum performance throughout the periodic table from Mg to U.
It is fast on all alloys, including aluminum. With its state-of-the-art design and excellent heat dissipation, the X-505 can be used all day long without the device failing due to overheating.
Connectivity and Android
The X-Series is based on the Android platform for real-time data export and an intuitive user interface that is easy to read on a vibrant display, with switchable bright/dark mode for all lighting conditions. Integrated WLAN, Bluetooth and GPS functions for printing, emailing and connecting to virtually any information management system for efficient test data and reports.
High-energy primary X-ray photons are emitted by an X-ray tube and strike the sample.
The fluorescence energy is transferred to a detector, where it is absorbed and converted into an electrical signal and then into a number (digitized).
The results can be displayed as percentages or as a spectrum. The XRF device processes (digitizes, counts) approximately 200,000 or more X-rays per second. These detected X-rays form a spectrum. Each peak in the spectrum comes from a characteristic X-ray emitted by a specific element such as Cr or Ni, etc. The height of the peak is proportional to the concentration of the element. The peak height is converted into a percentage or ppm of that element using a calibration method – either by basic parameters or by factory or user-derived empirical calibrations.
Next-generation connectivity, test data management and reporting for the full range of compliance testing, including RoHS, Halogen-Free, CPSIA and Lead Paint on Playground Equipment. State-of-the-art data management, integrated into a flexible Android system, enables maximum customization and data management capabilities.
The 55 kV operation instead of the industry standard 50 kV delivers higher performance for critical light” REEs and some heavy” REEs, making it an excellent option for REE analysis worldwide.
